Thoughts

Baci di ricotta is an Italian pastry, and it means ricotta kisses.

This is the first time I made them, and they were wonderful! Very easy and fast to make as compared to donuts or usual munchkins.

I enjoyed these very much and found them to be unlike anything fried I’ve made before. They were fluffy, light, and didn’t soak up much oil which allowed for the real flavor to come through.

I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on them. Enjoy 🙂

They look great! 😃 We have something very similar in Germany, made with quark instead of ricotta. I’ll have to try these and compare 😊

These look amazing! Do you think this recipe would also lend to baking the munchkins instead of frying?

    1. I don’t think so because the dough is very loose

  11. Wow they are looking yummy ! Can I use cottage cheese instead of ricotta? In my country , we don’t get ricotta that easily .

    1. I think if you mix the cottage cheese well so that it becomes smooth, it should work. Let me know how it turns out 🙂
