  • 1 stick of butter (115 g)
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups of flour
  • 1 Tbsp of cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1.5 cups of chocolate chips

Combine all ingredients. Make balls out of the dough and place them on a cookie sheet. Refrigerate for half an hour. Bake at 350 F (180 C) for 13-15 min.

I can’t believe this is the first cookie recipe on my blog! I have not had chocolate chip cookies in months and I really began to crave them, so naturally it was time to bake some. They turned out delicious and were gone in one day. They were soft on in the inside with the edges a bit crispier and the best part, they were full of chocolate chips in each bite!

  1. That’s one of the best things about chocolate chip cookies (aside from the taste, of course), the texture. A touch soothing, and a touch exciting. Both supremely comforting.

In fact, what better antidote to social distancing than a warm batch of home-baked goodness?

Perfect choice for this very moment!

What is your name, by the way? We’ve commented on each other’s blogs for over a year now, yet we’ve never been “introduced.” It feels a bit incomplete to type, “Nice entry…um, you.”

    Oh, and my name’s Keith.

    1. Thank you, Keith! These cookies definitely made everyone happy and made them forget about all the current craziness. My name is Patrycja- everyone calls me Pat.

      1. Hi, Pat! Nice…my aunt’s name too, by the way.

Good cooking definitely transports us to a better place. Something really dire, like a pandemic, getting you down? The only cure is plate full of home-baked goodness. Just see the medication you’ve prescribed above!

  2. These cookies look to die for!
