- 1 can of mango pulp (30 oz/ 850 g) or 3 cups of chopped mango
- 3 Tbsp of honey
- 2.5 cups of plain yogurt
- 1.5 cups of milk
Chop the mango, if you choose that as opposed to the pulp.
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for about a minute.
Put it in the fridge to chill.
Makes about 8 cups
*You can adjust the amounts of yogurt and milk depending on how you prefer your smoothies to be (thicker or thinner).
I’ve tried making this with real mango and with mango pulp, and I prefer it with mango pulp. The flavor is more defined. However, if you live in a place where you can buy good, fresh mango, that will probably be a better, tastier option for you as opposed to the pulp.
Mango Lassi is an Indian beverage. It is like a mango smoothie. I discovered it one day at work when it was served at an event. I tried a little bit of it and instantly fell in love with the flavor. I decided that I have to recreate it at home. Everyone who has tired it, really enjoyed it.
This beverage is very refreshing and the honey enhances the mango flavor. I find some mango smoothies that I have bought in the past to be dull in flavor, but mango lassi has a very strong, delicious flavor. It is very refreshing and has the perfect amount of sweetness.
It is perfect for the upcoming, warm summer months. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Enjoy 🙂
