Level of Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1/2 tsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1 stick of butter, melted (125 g)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of pumpkin puree
- 1/3 cup of sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
Directions
In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, vanilla, eggs, sour cream, and puree.
Then add the remaining dry ingredients.
Pour the dough into a bread pan. I have smaller bread pans, so I made two.
Topping
- 3/4 cup of flour
- 1 stick of butter softened
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp of salt
Mix all the ingredients with your hand.
Sprinkle the topping on the dough in the pans.
Bake at 350 F (180 C) for about 1 hour.
Thoughts
I stumbled upon this recipe on facebook on the delish page. I thought to myself, I have to make it this weekend. It turned out wonderful! The sour cream gives it moisture. The bread is very soft and fluffy. The topping is the best part. It gives this bread its special factor. I eat the bread first and then the topping because it is just so good.
My family loved it and is already wanting more. Let me know your thoughts on it. Enjoy!

Looks superb. Wonderfully, densely moist, which would make your recipe just perfect for muffins also. Plus, with your wonderful topping…oh my. Can’t say I care for the days getting shorter, but when it brings cooking like this, I love autumn!
